Vegetable, soy and veal rolls recipe
- 8 sheets of wanton or brick paste
- 1 beef steak of about 200 gr.
- 150 gr. of cabbage or cabbage leaves
- 2 carrots
- 100 gr. sprouted soybeans
- Soy sauce
- Olive oil
Peel and cut the carrots in julienne and put them to poach in a wok with a splash of oil. Chop the cabbage leaves and add them. Season Add soy sprouts and soy sauce. Cut the meat into strips, sauté them in a pan with a drizzle of oil and incorporate them into the wok. Mix well and drain with the help of a strainer, to remove excess fat.
Put the sheets of pasta wanton to soak in a bowl with water for a few minutes. Once hydrated, place them on a cloth, sheet by sheet and put on top of each a little stuffing of vegetables, meat and soy. Wrap and make a kind of package. Repeat the operation with each sheet.
Fry the packets in a pan with plenty of hot oil and remove them to a plate with absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
Serve two vegetable rolls per serving and decorate with chopped chives.
Soy sauce or shoyu is obtained by fermenting soybeans, roasted wheat, water and salt for several months. The difference with tamari is that it does not contain wheat, so it does not contain gluten; but its flavor is not as smooth as that of soy sauce.
Again, we have a dish of high nutritional value and that is an excellent way to introduce vegetables in the children's diet. Therefore, it is a dish especially recommended for them.
In celiac children, you can make rolls with rice paste and use tamari instead of soy sauce.
Soy proteins are complemented with meat proteins, increasing their usefulness so that the child has adequate growth and development.
Remember that Soy brings more protein to the child than meat, but do not forget the iron and vitamin B12 of meat, not present in soy. For this reason, the combination of both foods is very successful to ensure a balanced development.
Soy sprouts stimulate digestion and enrich the recipe in vitamins and antioxidants.
To complete the menu, we can have a fruit salad of banana, apple and kivi with orange juice for dessert; and a glass of fresh whole milk, that of the day.
And to accompany this dish, we can drink soda, a drink recommended for children as long as the consumption is moderate and, of course, better than any hyper-sugary soda, since very sweet drinks in children can create addiction. The bitter taste of soda is important to educate the taste since the sugary taste of other sodas can be a cause of obesity.
